Applications for next season of the NTC are now open for prospective competitors – until December 25th
Applications to join the 2026 Northern Talent Cup are now open for teams and riders! Prospective competitors can register at northerntalentcup.com until the 25th of December 2025 for a chance to take their place on the Road to MotoGP™ next year.
The NTC races on Honda NSF250 R machinery and with Pirelli tyres, in line with similar competitions on the Road to MotoGP™, providing the best foundations for stars of the future to further their careers and prove their talent. From the ranks of the NTC, opportunities are then available to move further up the Road to MotoGP™.
As in previous seasons of the NTC, the 2026 grid will be limited to 26 entrants. Riders applying to race next year must be born between January 1st, 2007, and April 3rd, 2012, and must be 14 before the Official Test.
Prospective riders from different racing backgrounds can apply, with no circuit racing experience necessary. The NTC, and Road to MotoGP™, looks for potential and other disciplines on two wheels can also translate into success on tarmac. All nationalities can also apply, but the NTC is aimed at young riders from across northern and central Europe.
An individual rider can apply but must decide a Team Name and must have a named Team Manager, who will be the main point of contact, and at least one mechanic and a legal guardian. Any Team Application should specify a Team Manager, who will be the main contact with the organisation, and the team can comprise a rider and two mechanics. Mechanics can also be family members or acquaintances.
