All to play for as the NTC heads to the Red Bull Ring for Round 6

Sessler leads Lenoxx Phommara by just four points at the top of the standings, with the in-form Frellsen closing in

Following a scorching – both on and off the track – weekend in Most, the Northern Talent Cup paddock will make its way to Austria as Round 6 takes us to the incredible Red Bull Ring in Spielberg.

As has often been the case since the NTC began, the two races we witnessed in the Czech Republic were sensational. Julius Frellsen (MCA Racing) secured a maiden victory in Race 1 and claimed yet another victory in Race 2. This sees the young Dane move up the standings into third position with 21 points separating him from Cup leader Rocco Sessler (MCA Racing) in first.

Cup leader Sessler maintained his lead at the top of the standings following a Race 1 podium finish, however, the German’s lead was reduced somewhat following a penalty for exceeding track limits on the last lap which saw home hero Filip Novotny (DG Corse) promoted to fourth in his place. Speaking of the top three, Cup challenger Lenoxx Phommara (Team Phommara) was able to secure two podiums in Germany and reduce the deficit to Sessler in the Cup standings by five points.

Elsewhere, home hero Novotny (DG Corse) narrowly missed out on the podium following two fourth places, and lots top tier racing from the Czech. He now sits in fifth in the Cup standings behind Martin Vincze (VM Racing). Podiums from rookies Antoine Nativi (CTM 83 Junior Team) and Kyano Schoo (KS-Racing) also caught the eye in the Czech Republic. Can the rookies build on their recent form and stand on the podium again in Spielberg? That would surely be a dream for both.

Race 1 at the Red Bull Ring will get underway at 14:20 local time (GMT+2) on Saturday, with Race 2 kicking off at 16:35 on Sunday afternoon.
