Anything can happen as the NTC heads for Most

Sessler leads Lenoxx Phommara by five points, with 50 more points in play at Round 5

What an exciting, topsy-turvy, and drama-packed weekend in Sachsenring that was, with the title picture changing almost as much as the weather! For Race 1 in the wet, it first went the way of Lenoxx Phommara (Team Phommara) who took a 20-point lead following a hard-fought P2, and Rocco Sessler’s (MCA Racing) unfortunate crash from the lead. Less than 24 hours later in the dry for Race 2, the pendulum swung back again, this time in Sessler’s favour, following a last-lap overtake to secure victory and an unfortunate DNF for Lenoxx Phommara. This all leaves the Sessler 5 points clear at the top of the standings ahead of Lenoxx Phommara, with Martin Vincze (VM Racing Team) and Julius Fellsen (MCA Racing) 27 points and 40 points adrift in third and fourth respectively.

It was also a weekend story of impressive firsts, with Hungarian Vincze claiming a much overdue first victory in the category and rookie sensations Antoine Nativi (CTM 83 Junior Team) and Kyano Schoo (KS Racing) claiming their first podiums following some stunning rides at the mighty Sachsenring. We were also treated to some new faces in unfamiliar places: think rookie Kimi-Nikita Gunderman leading Race 1 for consecutive laps, and Anakin Zelenak getting as high as second.

So, what drama and excitement will we be treated to this weekend? Will it be a maiden victory for the fast-learning Frellsen, more surprises from the rookies, or a second victory from Vincze to secure his place as a legitimate title contender? Let’s find out! Two more races await the NTC riders and teams this Saturday and Sunday. Tune in for Race 1 at 15:45 (GMT +2) on Saturday before Race 2 at 15:00 on Sunday to see who will claim the spoils in the Czech Republic.
