Northern Talent Cup returns to race in Czechia

29 July 2022

For the first time ever, the NTC saddles up at Most – and alongside WorldSBK

Round 5 is a weekend of double firsts for the Northern Talent Cup as the field saddle up alongside WorldSBK and get ready to take on a whole new venue: Autodrom Most. The NTC has raced in Czechia before in 2020, but it’s the Cup’s first visit to Most and promises plenty – with the standings closer at the top.

Last time out, Rossi Moor’s (FAIRIUM Next Generation Riders) perfect podium record came to an end with a crash on the final lap. That left those closest on the chase with a chance to capitalise, and it was Dustin Schneider (Goblin Racing) who did so the best as he came through to take his first win – and move to within 45 points of the top in the standings, into third overall.

Second overall, Kevin Farkas (Agria Racing Team), only managed to take seven points but they’re a valuable seven, marking the first time his compatriot has outscored Moor in a round this season. It’s now 31 points between the two Hungarians, and Farkas and the rest have a chance to keep that rolling.

At a new track, however, it will likely prove hard to defeat Moor as the former rookie sensation has made a name for himself in proving quick to adapt. But it’s also a clean slate for everyone on the grid, and Farkas, Schneider and their fellow frontrunners will be motivated. We’ve already seen the likes of Loris Veneman (TeamNL Open Line), Martin Vincze (Chrobak Motorsport Egyesület), Matteo Masili (FAIRIUM Next Generation Riders), Tibor Varga (Forty Racing) and Lennoxx Phommara (Team Phommara) on the podium – the latter on the top step too – and there’s plenty to play for.

Make sure to tune in this weekend for another stunning round of NTC action to see if Moor can hit back, with Race 1 at 17:15 (GMT +2) on Saturday before Race 2 at 16:15 on Sunday!
